Strategic Planning
Our approach to strategic planning is unique. Having taken part in many strategic plans during our careers, we knew there had to be a different way. We have seen planning processes that drag on too long, leaving teams without clarity or an actionable plan. Instead, we take creative approaches to help organizations get to the heart of what gets them stuck and what keeps them going. We believe every strategic planning process should culminate in a strategic plan that are useful, actionable, relevant, and clear.

Sometimes, a full-blown strategic planning process just isn’t feasible, but there are still pieces of that process that can be utilized to keep an organization flowing in the right direction. Conflict Education
Conflict can sometimes leave an organization stuck, but it doesn’t have to. Conflict can be a tool for supporting organizations to stay values-aligned and mission-focused. However, this is only possible when teams are on the same page about how to work with conflict. Conflict education differs from conflict mediation in that it is not meant to resolve a live conflict, but instead can help strengthen a team’s capacity for navigating future conflict. Our conflict education workshops include topics such as: generative conflict, nonviolent communication, restorative practices, building shared practices and culture to navigate conflict.
Mediation
Sometimes outside support is helpful for a conflict that is negatively affecting an organization. We accompany groups who are experiencing conflict to find meaningful pathways forward. We utilize a combination of 1-1, small group, and whole-group processes. We create a container where it is possible to build understanding across different perspectives, identify opportunities for meaningful repair, and keep an eye toward growing an organization’s capacity to navigate conflict in a generative (rather than destructive) way.

Succession Planning
Strong leadership is one of the most important markers of a successful organization. When a founder or long-term leader is ready to move on from an organization, it can be disorienting. Succession Planning supports a smooth transition from one leader to another. Succession planning includes creating legacy documents, ensuring systems are clear and user-friendly, making a plan for onboarding, and introducing the successor to all important contacts and networks. Succession planning can also be applied to junior staff members to create easeful transitions for new hires.
Sunsetting
Sunsetting describes an intentional process to close an organization with integrity. Sunsetting creates space for reflection, celebration, archiving, and wrapping up all loose ends. We will work with you to ensure that all stakeholders have clear roles during the sunsetting process and get to be engaged in the act of closing down the organization, providing as much closure as possible for those who held the organization most dearly.
