Assessment Toolkit: Is a strategic plan right for you? (PDF)
While a strategic planning process may be helpful in unearthing underlying issues, many organizations start the strategic planning process already knowing what those issues are. It may be more effective (and affordable!) to choose a different intervention before jumping into a full strategic plan. This tool will help you decide!

This 18-page toolkit has three parts to it:
1) Part 1 will help you identify if a strategic plan is right for you.
2) If strategic planning doesn’t feel right for you at this moment, you can continue to Part 2, which includes an assessment that will support you in identifying key issues and alternative interventions.
3) Part 3 is a list of alternative interventions that you might consider in lieu of a full strategic planning process.
